Thank you for your interest in the Florence Police Department's web page. The City of Florence continues to be one of the safest cities in the United States. This standard of living is accomplished through partnerships between the community and our police department.

I would encourage you to take time to visit our city and take advantage of the many festivals, tourist events, and recreational facilities available in Florence.

Our department currently has 119 employees. The department is divided into two bureaus, Field Operations and Support Services. Under our Field Operations Bureau, we have the uniformed patrol division, mounted patrol, K-9, bicycle patrol, special operations (SWAT), crime scene divers, traffic control/education, and hazardous devices.

As a separate part of Field Operations, our investigative division is divided into crimes against property, crimes against persons, white collar, juvenile, and the special investigative (narcotics) divisions.

Our Support Services Bureau is composed of the communications division, fleet, school resource officers program, and the housing officers. Collectively, each employee is committed to the Florence Police Department attaining its vision of being the safest city in the nation.
